Summary:
|
In order to ensure safe construction and to protect the investment of public funds, the Board of Education, consistent with state law, requires that consultants, be employed to investigate school site conditions prior to the construction of district schools and other facilities.
The District initiated the Fire Protection Engineering Services consultant, selection process by advertising a “Request for Qualifications”, with two (2) firms responded to the civil and survey request;
A recommendation is provided to include P2S, Inc. and The Engineering Enterprise to the list of approved consultants as a result of their highly qualified proposals. Assignment of all projects will be based on the type of project and the strengths and qualifications of the consultant firm(s).

Funding:

There is no direct financial impact as a result of this Action. However, this Resolution will enable staff to proceed with contracts to the listed firms for performing specific services on specific projects. Funding for these services is part of the budgets for the projects.

It is recommended that the Board of Education adopt Resolution 2023-106.
