Summary:
|
Under current education law, AB 2449 amended Education Code § 5017 to read: “Each person elected at a regular biennial governing board member election shall hold office for a term of four years commencing on the second Friday in December next succeeding their election.”
Education Code § 35143 requires that a governing board hold an Annual Organizational Meeting within a specified 15-day period. This year that period of time is between December 8 and December 22, 2023.
