Summary:
|
The attached policy and rule are meant to provide policy and procedures necessary to address issues related to Sexual Abuse and Molestation ("SAM") as well as recent legislative changes related to SAM. The policy and rule were drafted by staff in collaboration with the District's Property & Casualty consultants and with information derived from a preceding Policy as adopted by another California School District. The policy and rule were also reviewed by the Board's Counsel, from whom no changes were recommended.
The Policy & Rule were presented to the LodiUSD Safety Committee on 1/27/2022, at which no comments or concerns were recorded. Board Policy 4019.1 and Rule 4019.1 are presented as a report item, and should staff receive no objections or request for changes, the item will be returned as an "Other Action Item" at the LodiUSD Board of Education's Regular meeting on 2/22/2022.
