Summary:
|
The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and Licensing requires districts to estimate in advance their need to obtain Emergency Permits for teachers who are not fully credentialed and Limited Assignment Permits for teachers who are fully credentialed but teaching out of their credential area.
A Declaration of Need for Fully Qualified Educators must be file with the Commission before a district may apply for any emergency permit. There is not a penalty for overestimating.
