Summary: On March 2, 2021, Resolution 2021-19, the Board of Education of the District authorized staff to advertise an RFQ/RFP and receive proposals for the purchase and acquisition of classroom furniture (“Furniture”) for the District Sites in a cost-effective manner. A “Request for Proposal” was duly advertised as required by law. The District received proposals from 3 firms; One Workplace, Meteor and School Outfitters who are qualified under the Piggyback Statute, CMAS, or JPA Contracts to procure Furniture for the District Sites.
A committee made up of (2) High School Principals, (1) Elementary Principal and (1) Custodian participated in the selection process and final direction. Vendors provided a demonstration of furniture samples for the committee along with conditions outlined in the District’s RFP.

The evaluation committee determined School Outfitters to be the best value respondent and approval of this Resolution certifies the award of Contract and Authorization to begin purchase of Furniture for the 3 large Measure U Projects; Lodi High School, Tokay High School and Needham Elementary School.
Funding: Fund 40 for Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FFE). Should extra funding in excess of $1,000,000.00 be required, staff will recommend use of "Operational Assignment" in the Board's Fund 01.
Recommendation: It is recommended to accept Resolution 2021-43.
