Summary:
|
The Learning Communities for School Success Program (LCSSP) Grant, administered by the California Department of Education (CDE), provides funds to local education agencies (LEAs) to support programs aimed at improving student outcomes by reducing truancy and supporting students who are at risk of dropping out of school or are victims of crime. Lodi Unified School District, if selected, will enter into an agreement with CDE to carry out the project.
Lodi Unified School District, if selected, will be required to support a 20 percent match of the total project cost.
In 2016, the District received the LCSSP grant award in the amount of $1,701,032.00 for a three year period. The grant provided funding for the community liaison supervisor, 10.5 community liaisons (of which the District matched with 2.5 community liaisons), training, and mentoring services provided by an outside consultant.
When the grant award sunseted last school year, the District reapplied but did not receive funding. This year, the District will reapply again to the LCSSP grant to receive funding to cover the previously mentioned activities.
