Summary:

Purchases may be made in an oral, formal, or informal manner: or on the open market, whichever method appears to be in the best interest for the District. District staff administered a Request for Quotes and Proposals from various vendors and has evaluated the quotes and proposals based on the most responsible and responsive bidders. This is an extension of the base year contracts.

Funding:
|
Total estimated funding needed is $6,150,000.00 funded through Fund 13 – Food Service Fund. The amount may be increased or decreased based on the actual needs.

Recommendation:
|
Staff recommends that the Board of Education approve extensions as per contracts for the following vendors:
(1) Bread Products: Gold Star Foods, (2) Fresh Produce: Gold Star Foods, (3) Fresh Produce, FFVP: Gold Star Foods, Daylight Foods, Food 4 Thought, (4) Grocery Products: Sysco, (5) Paper Products: P & R Paper Supply, (6) Chicken Products: Pilgrim’s Pride, Pro View Foods, Tyson, (7) Processed Commodity Products: Con Agra Foods, Don Lee Farms, Gold Star Foods, Nardone Bros., Schwans, Tyson.
Staff recommends that the Board of Education approve increasing and/or decreasing the estimated funding amounts based on actual needs.
